Senior Attorney
David Parker has done everything from mergers to murders over his 37 years of practicing law in Iredell County. He now focusses primarily on Business creation and planning, governance, complex civil litigation, and land use and finance. His practice has taken him from Maryland to Mississippi and has included appellate cases with the Fourth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.
As General Counsel for Langtree at the Lake, a 400-acre development with some four miles of shoreline on Lake Norman, David has worked in obtaining and closing both HUD underwritten and conventional loans, private equity, and special assessment bonds. David’s practice includes complex equitable distribution family law matters to catastrophic Workers Compensation injuries to defending neighborhoods from environmentally hazardous development.
David has been very active in the community, serving as Chairman of the Board of Mitchell Community College, elected Member of the Iredell-Statesville School Board, Moderator of Salem Presbytery in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party in 2012 (National Convention Host State) and Campaign Manager for U.S. Senator Terry Sanford’s Re-election Campaign in 1992. David is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and of the UNC School of Law. He and his wife, Sally, a Realtor with Lake Norman Real Estate, have been married for 36 years and have three children.
